Snarf's was founded by native St. Louisan Jimmy Seidel in Boulder, Colorado in 1996. What started as a little shack selling toasted sandwiches has now grown to nine shops in Colorado, Chicago and St. Louis. Jimmy's sister Jodi and her husband Maty Aronson are co-owners of Snarf's in St. Louis' famed Delmar Loop. They look forward to expanding the tradition and quality of Snarf's to other locations in St. Louis very soon!

JODI and MATY ARONSON, Owners

Jodi Seidel Aronson says her love of food can be traced back to her undergraduate days at Tulane University in New Orleans. "I still dream of shrimp remoulade and crawfish etouffee," she says, noting that her favorite restaurant is still the famed Galatoire's in the French Quarter, where she happily stands in line for hours to share Friday lunch with the locals! A St. Louis native, with a background in fundraising and special events, Jodi works as a parent volunteer for Forsyth School in Clayton, when not overseeing the 15 plus employees at Snarf's in the Delmar Loop.

Maty Aronson's French mother's love of haute cuisine, coupled with the family's extensive travel since childhood, has had an important impact on his palate. A graduate of the University of Michigan, Aronson worked for seven years at Bear Stearns in New York and London, before joining OneClip, an internet startup company, as Vice President of Finance. Maty's final career move took him to Hong Kong, where he served as Managing Director for a German trading company.

The Aronsons met in New York City, where Jodi was then living and Maty was in town on business. Within months, Jodi packed her bags to join Maty in London, before the couple moved to Hong Kong. In 2003, they moved to St. Louis. Maty Aronson continues to develop and invest in commercial and residential real estate, and looks forward to opening additional Snarf's in the Midwest with his partner and wife, Jodi.

The couple reside in the Central West End, and have two young children.
